On Move-in Day, parents of new students are encouraged to attend Parent Orientation. While students are attending their first Community Meeting, parents attend an orientation session presented by college personnel and upper-level students.
Groups are assigned by Residence Hall. Group A: Easton, Marquis, Ruef, South College. Group B: Conway House, Gates, Kamine, McKeen, Watson. Transfer families are assigned to Group B. Please plan your day accordingly.
7 a.m. – 11 a.m. Location: Residence Halls
11 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. Location: The Quad (Rain: Marquis Hall or Farinon Center)
12:30 a.m. – 1:45 p.m. Location: The Quad (Rain: Marquis Hall)
Parent Orientation Schedules will be available at residence hall check-in. Parents attend their group session for information specifically for parents of new students. It is also the time to ask remaining questions before the semester officially begins.

3:45 – 4:15 p.m. Location: The Quad (Rain: Kirby Sports Center) Determine in advance where to meet your student. Students will sit with families and classmates for a welcome by President Byerly and Mayor Panto, the official opening of Student Orientation, and the Call to Assemble.
4:30 – 5:30 p.m. Location: President’s House – McCartney St. & College Ave. (Rain: Wilson Room, Pfenning Alumni Center) Hosted by President Alison Byerly. Relax and enjoy light refreshments before leaving campus.
