The 2021 Committee has been working since the spring planning a great weekend for Families on Sept. 24-26, 2021.

Meet the 2021 Executive Co-Chairs!

Billy DeVito ’22

Billy is a Government & Law and Theater double major from Long Island, NY, and is a Director with Lafayette’s student-run Marquis Players group. His involvement on campus with multiple theater opportunities is not only a natural fit for his double major but also great experience for his future career goals. In his third year serving on the student-led Family Weekend Committee, Billy was an obvious choice to be our Executive Co-Chair in partnership with Shannon.

Shannon Dyke ’22

Shannon is a Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering major from Bucks County, PA, and is a member of the Swimming & Diving Team. As a student athlete, a board member of Lafayette’s Marquis Players musical theater group, and a third year participant on the student-led Family Weekend Committee, Shannon was a natural fit to team with Billy as this year’s Executive Co-Chairs.

About the student-led Family Weekend Committee
Students are invited to apply each year to interview to be selected as a member of the Family Weekend Committee. Based on student interests, members are assigned to subcommittees, such as Promotions, Entertainment, Panels, Community, and more.

Committee participation is a learning and growth opportunity for members; outcomes include valuing other-centered program planning, developing program planning skills, and getting to know their institution and community better.
