Greetings Parents and Families.

My name is Brandon Morris and I am the new First-year Class Dean at Lafayette College. I became a member of the Lafayette family back in December and it has been an amazing experience thus far. As Dean, I have many responsibilities that involve helping students get the most out of their first year at Lafayette.

Currently, the two most important things on my docket include mid-term grades and Course Registration. Mid-term grades are given only to those students who have a grade of a “D” or lower in any of their courses. These reports are forwarded to me as the class dean for review. Over the next couple of weeks, I will be meeting with students regarding mid-term grades to ensure that they are receiving the support and resources they need to be successful. If you have a student in this situation, please encourage him or her to be proactive by scheduling an appointment with me by calling (610) 330-5080.

During the upcoming weeks, your student will also be making some important decisions regarding the 2016-2017 academic year. Online course registration can be a stressful time for students, however, they have access to many resources that can help guide them as they make these important decisions. Registration for the Fall 2016 semester will take place on April 13. Information regarding the process will be sent to your student’s Lafayette email soon. Please encourage your student to read all the instructions and ask questions when needed.

As always, I am here for you and your student if either of you have any questions. Cheers to the rest of the semester.
