This underscores the importance for Lafayette College students to utilize the Office of Career Services. We assist students with putting together strategies for their job and internship searching; in addition to support developing cover letters and resumes to best reflect a student’s accomplishments and strengths, Gateway counselors can discuss with students how to tell their story in a way which conveys to employers the value of their unique academic, co-curricular, and experiential skills.

Additionally, Career Services can connect students with powerful networking strategies and opportunities. In January 2016, we will again feature both our Philadelphia Networking and New York Networking Nights. Students will receive save-the-date information soon, followed by instructions to register before they leave campus for the interim break. Additionally, the strong Lafayette alumni community can serve as an invaluable resource for informational and mock interviews, which students can discuss with their Gateway counselor.

Each weekend, students receive CSWeekly to keep them up-to-date on current Career Services programs and deadlines. This month, and each month through April, we will also email students our weekly Internship News, highlighting some of the new internship postings and those with upcoming deadlines, all of which are accessible on CareerSpot. If you would like to be on our weekly mailing list, please send an email to careers@lafayette.edu with your preferred email address and your student’s class year.

We wish all Lafayette families a healthy and happy holiday season, and a wonderful new year!
